Intel saw absolutely no need to upgrade to Vista. They, quite rightly, analyzed the landscape (namely, the villagers with torches and rakes and pitchforks screaming outside the MS castle for Franken-Ballmer to be brought out for the sake of mob justice) and proclaimed pretty confidently that they didn't see a future with Vista in it.
And they were right. Nice one guys!

Save your money and fund your escape route from the country." - Finally Microsoft just moved on. After a solid year of Vista's existence.
Yep. They got right to work promoting the next great thing. In fact, they're already talking about getting users on to the new Windows 7 release candidate in ... holy shit, April?!? That's... really really fast to give up on your customers. Unless you... giggle... really think they're going to provide that famous Windows support... chortle... for two OS's? Heeheehaahoohoho.
I feel really bad for all you people that bought into, I mean, seriously, paid into the MS fund for Vista, only to have these people turn around and shit on you like this. They just took your money and made something to exclude you. Good luck guys. Maybe when they offer Xp "downgrades" for Windows 7 they'll throw you a guys a bone... maybe a doll of Ballmer that winds up and yells "DEVELOPERSDEVELOPERSDEVELOPERSDEV--"
